If I could have personally witnessed one event in history I would choose the Olympic Games. I would be very interested to see the opening of the games. I am sure that the Olympic games that we have now changed tremendously from the first ones. Last year's games had different types of special effects, since now our society is more electronically active. We have singers and dancers that walk out, the athletes walk out in their own track suits. I would like to see maybe what the people wore at the first Olympic games and what their opening ceremony looked like.

Ms. Konikov,
Very interesting choice! That is one I would not have considered. Which specific year of the Olympic games would you have chosen? Is there a particular era that intrigues you, or would you want to witness the very first one ever?

I am a huge fan of history. Going into college, my goal was to become a history major. In order to prevent the past one must also master history. By doing so, I would definitely have a great appreciation for being able to hop in a time machine and travel back to a time long before ours. If i was so blessed as to be able to travel back in time, chances are my jewish soul would drive me to either witnessing the parting of the red sea or the foundation of the modern state of Israel.
